Cancun Art Galleries

Cancun's art gallery scene may not be as large as other destinations in Mexico. But that doesn't mean you won't find its famous beautiful artwork and handicrafts. In Cancun, explore modern interpretations of traditional Mayan art and witness traditional artists at work.

Huichol Collection

Plaza Kukulcán and Plaza Caracol, Phone: 883-5059
This interesting gallery sells beadwork and embroidery made by the Huichol Indians of the West Coast. While here, you can watch one of the visiting tribe members demonstrate their marvelous work.

La Cajita Mexicana Art Gallery

17 & 19 Telum Avenue, Downtown; Phone: 884-6222
One of the largest collections of handicrafts in Mexico: masks, original paintings, leather, pottery and much more.

Renato Dorfman Galeria

La Isla Shopping Village, Blvd. Kukulcán, Phone: 883-0359
Originally from Mexico City, Dorfman expresses Mayan and Caribbean Art in a new and fresh way. You'll recognize his work as soon as you see it. The unique sculptures are found in the decoration of hotels, restaurants and public areas in Cancun, Cozumel and the Riviera Maya. His gallery carries Dorfman's exquisite, unique and original pieces as well as his hand-carved replicas of Mayan art and stelae.
