Clubs and bars in Cancun are hopping all year round. You can't visit Cancun and not experience the excitement at its clubs that start pumping around 10:30 pm. Try Cobo-Bongo, The City, Daddy'O, Daddy Rock, La Boom … Or just chill out on the beach at Señor Frogs, Carlos and Charlies, or the many Cancun bars along the strip.

Playa del Carmen Nightlife

Just walk along La Quinta and you will find a bar of your taste and daily mood. There are quiet bars, rowdy bars, bars on the second floor, bars with trees, bars on the beach, sports bars and bars with TV, pool tables or games (or all of the above) and bars with live music. Most of the bars close at 2am. Night clubs and discos are open until 4 am or later. Almost all of them are free of charge.

After dinner try Ted's Mescaleros a huge palm-thatched bar and dance hall on the beach that often features reggae bands and rock groups. Another popular night spot with live bands is the beach bar at the Blue Parrot. Señor Frog's a restaurant-bar overlooking the beach just past the dock, features a small dance floor/stage that is usually hopping at night with a young crowd. At Deseo, a chic new minimalist-style hotel, oversized beds, a live DJ and martini cocktails beckon visitors to the poolside lounge area.

Riviera Maya Nightlife

Nightlife in Riviera Maya tends to be a bit tamer than its neighbor to the north, Cancun . That doesn't mean there isn't anything to do. On the contrary, just walk along Quinta (5th) Avenida in Playa del Carmen in the evening and you'll experience a lively blend of cultures. Many restaurants in Playa del Carmen seamlessly transform into nightclubs in the evening after the dinner hour has passed. Some hotels in Riviera Maya have their own discos. If you want a wilder time, you can always take the drive up to Cancun and experience all its nightlife has to offer.

Cozumel Nightlife

A favorite island nightclub is Joe's Lobster Pub, now located where the main plaza meets the waterfront. The talented house band plays reggae and tropical music form 10:30 p.m. Everyone seems to end up here, drawn by the friendly informal ambiance and excellent live music. There's a small and often packed dance floor, and Mexican and seafood dishes.

For a fun frat party atmosphere and pop music try Carlos ‘n Charlie's at Punta Langosta mall or Hard Rock Café, on the waterfront.

Viva Mexico, above the handicrafts emporium of the same name on Rafael Melgar, has a lively top-floor snack bar with a great view of the waterfront and live dance music form 10 p.m. until the hours of the morning.

Isla Mujeres Nightlife

You'll find a very active nightlife on Isla Mujeres, should you be looking!! Most action takes place on the North end of the island in the downtown area. There you'll find a good selection of places to try. Most bars have a happy hour posted where you will find 2 for 1 drinks. Many also provide live music for your listening pleasure.

The atmosphere can be different at each place! You'll find styles from the late night club atmosphere at La Pena to the more subdued atmosphere listening to live music at Faynes or Karaoke at Isla Tequila. You're sure to find something that fits your liking.

For those late night people, there are a couple of discos available to keep you dancing 'til dawn.
